A Denim Love Affair | M&S Holly’s Must Haves – #AD

If you were to open up my wardrobe, you’d be hit with an influx of denim. It’s a material that has a little piece of my heart. It’s versatile, stylish and most of all, so easy to wear in SO many different ways. I feel as though if my heart was made out of a manmade material, it would be made of out denim. So, when I saw that the mega babe that is Holly Willoughby was to launch a new collection with M&S based around denim, my eyes lit up with complete excitement.

This collection is a stunning modern take on wearing denim. From button up dresses, cotton boiler suits and a pair of classic skinny jeans, there’s something to suit everyones style and bring your denim collection from season to season.

My Favourite Picks From Holly’s Denim Edit…

  • The Cotton Boiler-suit

Boiler suits have made a comeback from the 70’s and are all the rage right now (I sound like such a Nan saying that) But, I’m honestly obsessed with this indigo boiler suit. For the Denim Edit, Holly styled it with the white trainers from her collection, it’s such a cool and effortless look and something that’s really bold and unique for what you’d usually expect from M&S. So, kudos for pushing the boundaries.

  • The White Western Boots

When I was sent the press release for the collection and I laid eyes on these boots, my heart skipped a beat. These boots are right up my street, I’m all for the western vibes and the white leather simply add a retro nod to the 60’s. I’ve worn the boots already and they’re SO comfortable and easy to walk in, they won’t be coming off of my feet anytime soon.

  • The Button-Up Denim Dress

A button up denim dress is a staple in my wardrobe. I’ve had a few button up denim dresses throughout the past few years, however, none of truly won my heart, until now. This denim dress is such a soft, comfortable material and the perfect thickness in denim for the Spring here in the UK. You can dress is up with ankle boots or go for a more casual city vibe with some trainers. Obsessed doesn’t cut it!

  • The Denim Ruffle Shirt

One thing that my wardrobe seriously lacks is a denim shirt. The Ruffle Denim Shirt from the edit is the perfect addition to my wardrobe. The fabric is so soft, it almost feels like a lightweight suede, however, it’s not. It looks great tucked into a pair of jeans or paired with a skirt, the different ways to style it are endless.

Denim Items I Couldn’t Live Without

Saying that ‘I couldn’t live without’ them, is probably a slight exaggeration, however, If I didn’t have denim in my life, I’d be strutting around basically naked most of the time. Denim is a huge staple in my wardrobe and reaching for my favourite pair of jeans or my trusted denim jacket are more than a habit, they’re practically a way of life.

  • A Denim Jacket

You simply cannot go wrong with a denim jacket. They just add a super laid back, girl next door vibe to practically everything. Paired with a floral tea dress and converse during the Spring/Summer is honestly my favourite look. So effortless but cool.

  • Straight Leg Jeans

After so many years of wearing various styles and fits of jeans, I’ve finally found my home in a pair of high waisted straight leg jeans. The fit really suits me as they’re a happy medium in-between skinny jeans and mom jeans and look great styled with t-shirt, blouses and of course, jumpers!

  • Kick Flare Dungarees

Although dungarees aren’t for everyone. However, I personally have no issue with dressing like a children’s TV presenter. I love wearing dungarees with striped t-shirts, converse and a baker boy hat, it’s the perfect everyday outfit.

I hope you love the collection just as much as I do!
