Finding The Perfect Christmas Gifts with Boots | 50 Days Of Xmas! AD

It’s the most Wonderful time of the year, not because of the cosy evenings or because it’s jumper weather, but because it’s time to treat our loved ones to something they deserve. I feel as though everyone says it, however, I LOVE giving presents. There’s nothing I love more than seeing the people I love happy with their gifts, to me, their happiness is the biggest gift of all. This Christmas I’ve teamed up with Boots as apart of their 50 Days Of Christmas campaign to share some amazing gifting ideas this festive season, so you can put a smile on somebodies face – Or your own! My go-to gifting hotspot has got to be Boots! You can purchase amazing gifts for everyone in your family on one website, with fast delivery, which is perfect for any last-minute Christmas Shoppers out there, there are only 5 days to go after all!

Shopping for those leading ladies in your life is something I find most difficult. My sister can be super fussy with clothing and makeup, so I tend to only buy her things that she asks me for, however, I think that takes the magic out of Christmas. The other leading lady in my life is obviously my Mum. I will never be able to put into words how much this woman means to me and how annoying she is to buy for! Whenever I ask her what she wants or if there’s anything on her Christmas list, she pulls the whole ‘I just want all my kids together and happy’ which is cute, but also, I can’t wrap that up and put it under the tree!

Both my Mum and Sister turn to me for beauty and fashion advice (who’d have thought) therefore, I like to get them things that I highly rate and something that they will enjoy and be able to use to relax and unwind, es now that my sister is a mother, and my mother is a Nan, they deserve some TLC!

So, let me help you find those perfect last minute  Christmas Gifts for your friends & family!

 From Me, With Love.

I feel as though shopping for Christmas is pushed upon us earlier and earlier this year, however, sometimes it’s good to take a step back and not allow yourself to panic, as panic buying can potentially result in a gift that isn’t as perfect as you’d like it to be.

When it comes to gifting, the main thing is the place it came from, and that’s not the store or website, that’s from the heart. A gift that is given with love and the receivers best interests at heart, that’s what truly matters. On a personal note (and in case anyone reading this is wanting to buy me a present) I love  receiving gifts that are thoughtful and that give me the chance to relax, so if it’s skincare or pyjamas, you’ve got it right! So, when it comes to finding the perfect gifts for my friends and family, I like to pick up on things they’ve mentioned throughout the year, whether that’s things they love, or things they’re wanting to try, or in my Sister and Mums case, they come to me with their skincare, beauty and fashion issues quite often, so If there’s something I can get them that’s able to help them with anything, I love ensuring they feel good about them-selves even though I’m no expert!

If you’re just buying small gifts or even a secret Santa gift, I always add the love to the gift by wrapping it really nicely and making the gift look special and though time and effort has gone into the presentation and makes someone smile, even if you’ve got them a pair of socks or an air freshener, at least it looks like the best air freshener they ever received.

Anyway, let’s get onto some gift I’ve got in my Christmas sack for my family this year…

3 Tips For Finding The Perfect Gift…

1. Know What You’re Looking For

Not knowing what you’re looking for can be dangerous, personally, I end up buying 101 things that I really don’t need to buy, simply because I’m over-compensating for the lack of a good gift idea. If you want to keep it a secret and not have the person you’re looking for know what you’re getting, look on their socials, really engage in-conversation and slip in some pointers to lead you in the right direction, it sounds creepy but if you’re buying for someone you love, it should be easy!

    2. Keep A List Throughout The Year

I have a small notes section on my phone in which I jot things down that people mention to me, simply so I can surprise them with the things that they’ve wanted, however, never actually asked for. With my best friend, I usually right down brands that she’s spoken to me about or things that she’s shown me when we’ve been scrolling through instagram together. I’ve got a brain like a sieve so having a place to jot things down for my future self if really helpful

     3. Take A Chance

So many times throughout the years I’ve panicked on what to get people simply because I wasn’t 100% sure whether they’d like it or not. But pretty much 10 times out of 10, the gift receiver has always been really happy with what I’ve picked for them. I mean, they could absolutely hate it and be lying to me, but as far as I’m aware, my gifts have always gone down a treat! So, here’s a reminder to take a chance and if they don’t like it, it’s the thought that counts, right?

The Gift Of Glowing Skin

Good skin is a gift that I wish you could just buy, however, if I can get step closer to having skin that illuminates glow and health, I’ll take it! On the boots website, there’s honestly SO many amazing gift sets for pretty much every person in your life, we’re talking Mum, Sister, Dad, Brother and Grandparents. The website is really easy to navigate and find the perfect gift you’ve been searching for. The items I picked honestly didn’t take long to find and In all honesty, I was extremely surprised by the variety of brands on offer within the gift sets. When I usually think of a gift set, I usually think of a selection of pocket sized products that are pretty bog-standard and underwhelming. But the selection of the gifting range from Boots is something else this year, there’s brands such as GlamGlow, Beauty Bakerie & even Violet Voss, which are brands that I’ve always wanted to try but either found them too expensive or just cannot get hold of them as easy as I would like here in the UK.

The first gift set that I picked up was the GlamGlow ‘Forget The Filter’ gift set. The gift consisted of sample sized Glow Starter moisturiser (can I add that the sample size is HUGE) and a full sized Instamud mask all for the grand total of just £30! If you know the price points of GlamGlow products (including their sample sizes) that’s amazing value for money, so obviously I jumped at the chance of being able to try the products out after wanting to for so long. I’m quite fussy when it comes to skincare, and with there being so much hype around the GlamGlow face masks by so many bloggers across the globe, it almost sparks the sceptic in me and I start to doubt whether the products are actually worth the money, however, I can confirm that they are.

The Instamud face mask is perfect for the person in your life who wants amazing skin but doesn’t always have the time to sit and wait for a face mask to do its thing, this masks only takes 60 seconds and you can feel it working it’s magic as the masks fizzes and really clears out those pores. As for the GlowStarter, firstly, it smells SO GOOD and secondly, it gives the skin just a subtle, hydrated glow that looks stunning under make-up! I’m well impressed with the GlamGlow GlowStarter gift set and I would be utterly thrilled to find this under my Christmas Tree this year.

The Gift Of Insta-worthy Makeup

Who doesn’t love looking and feeling glam?

Personally, I don’t really wear make-up on a day-to-day basis, however, I LOVE makeup and it tends to be the thing that’s usually at the top of my Christmas list because it’s nice to be treated to some amazing makeup products without having to fork out for it yourself, in all honesty.

However, ‘forking out’ is something you won’t have to do with the Violet Voss 3 Piece Collection from Boots. We’re talking a drop dead gorgeous eyeshadow palette, a highlighter palette AND a lipgloss for £60! Can you even believe it! I was so shocked when I saw that Boots were stocking Violet Voss and then I seen the price and my jaw dropped to the floor.

I have one Violet Voss palette in my collection already, so I knew I could trust the quality of the eyeshadows as they are so insanely buttery, pigmented and easy to blend. The palette is a collaboration with Nicol Concilio and although sometimes I find collab palettes to be more about the persons name slapped on the front that the quality of the product, in this instance, it’s certainly not the case. The shade range is right up my street and after swatching the eyeshadows and comparing to the Violet Voss palette that I already have, the product quality is still there!

As for the highlighter and the lipgloss, I’ve never tried anything else from Violet Voss other than eyeshadows, so to try something different was really interesting. The highlighter palette is stunning, the shades are beautiful and so creamy and simply give the skin such a stunning glow. There’s 3 shades in the palette and as a fellow pale gal, I do find that the shades are more tailored for warmer skin tones, however, you can’t really complain when the item is from a gifting range and you cannot select your own shade range, so no shade there, but just a thought If you’re thinking of giving the highlighter to someone with skin as white as snow (aka me)

If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect gift for the beauty lover in your life, I’m pretty sure this is the gift set to buy. Honestly, I’m just so shocked at the value for money and how amazing and perfectly festive the eyeshadow palette is!
