Do you ever just have that completely impulsive moment when you see an item online and within 0.3 seconds it’s in your basket and ordered? Well, that’s EXACTLY what happened when I saw these Beetlejuice inspired jeans on ASOS. They’re definitely a marmite wardrobe item, but I think that’s what style is all about. Wearing something a little daring and provoking a weird look, or a look of approval. If you don’t push yourself in what you’re comfortable in then you’re never really going to find your personal style and what you like and inevitably what you don’t.
Lately, I’ve felt lost when it’s come to styling myself, I’m really not a Spring/Summer kind of gal, as I’ve spoken about previously. So, I’ve really been making the effort to push myself when it comes to the items that I’m purchasing. Whenever I get in this awkward personal style rut, I tend to push the boundaries a bit, I add a different colour into my wardrobe or a different texture and style to an item. Although these changes are only small, they really do make a difference. However, with this purchase, I’ve went bold as ever and made a statement like I never have before. I’ve Beetlejuiced myself and I’m not even sorry.

SAY IT WITH A STATEMENT PIECE
Although it’s super trendy to live a super minimalistic live and truly channel those cool Scandinavian vibes, that just isn’t me. I believe that although I may not be 100% comfortable with what I look like and who I am, the one thing I can truly control is how the world sees me, and I like to express that through how I dress. When I show my sister the new clothing purchases I’ve made, she constantly says “I’d be too scared to wear that” and I just think, who cares! If I like something and it’s comfortable I will wear it. 99% of the time we’re too scared to wear something because of what people think of us. When was the last time you put yourself first? When was the last time you made a daring clothing purchase and felt like a million dollars for doing so?

SAY IT WITH A SUBTLE DETAIL
Although I love me a statement clothing item, when it comes to jewellery I’m a lover of the dainty details. I love the immense detail that goes into jewellery and although the item may be small, the immense detail within the item is breathtaking. The necklace I’m wearing inspired by tattoos, which is insane. The piece has SO much detail considering it’s size. What’s that saying, good things come small, well Carter Gore have hit the nail on the head with this necklace range. Truly breathtaking details, I constantly have people staring at my neck, wondering what I’m wearing and when I explain to them that my necklace is a Mexican inspired handgun, they’re usually amazed.
Carter Gore’s designs feature hand drawn designs, capturing the true skill and craftsmanship of tattoo artists. The brand focus’ on capturing and enhancing the wearer’s style and individuality. Their Tatto range simply speaks to me and the items designs feel vintage and as though it was made especially for me. Designer Gary Carter has seriously outdone himself with this collection.
