Chokers are a trend that don’t seem to be going anywhere. The 90’s called and it’s definitley not getting its chokers back any time soon! There’s so many chokers on the market at the minute and sometimes I find it difficult to find ones that are a little more unique and feel that little bit more special. I think chokers add a certain edge to an outfit, and for days when I wanna channel my edgy alter ego, I instantly opt for a choker.
CHOKERS FROM @WELOVEDAISS
I was recently contacted by a lovely handmade acsesrrioes comapny called DAISS, their instagram is full of edgy peices and coolness – That’s literally the only way I can describe it. Their choker collection is insane, there’s so much to choice from, no matter what your style may be, DAISS has got a choker to suit your style! I’ve styled up one of the chokers in a litte OOTD, so you can get some style inspiration if you’re struggling to style up chokers in a different way and to express just how versitile chokers can actually be!
Not gonna lie, sometimes styling chokers can be quite difficult for me personally. Sometimes, I feel as though they can really over power an outfit, so I tend to strive for a more ‘Rock Glam’ style when I’m wearing chokers. Obviously if you can rock them with whatever floats your boat, but I love the whole ‘Rock Chic’ vibe and I think chokers finish off tht sort of look perfectly!
Here’s how I styled the beautiful indigto denim eyelet chocker from DAISS!
TOP: LEVIS, JACKET: ZARA, SKIRT: TOPSHOP, TIGHTS: ASOS, BOOTS: ZALANDO, CHOKER: DAISS
For the look I went for some of my fail safes, I mean you can’t go wrong with a leather jacket and a slogan tee. So pairing them together makes chanels some super casual vibes, but the effort is still there. I’ve been loving red reenently and I picked up this skirt from Topshop last summer and I’m so happy the sun has started to shine and it can make an appearance once again. I think red is such an easy colour to add into your wardrobe, if you’re in a monochrome rut, adding red is perfect. It matches with black, white and grey perfectly!
The dark indigo denim of the choker really adds a bit of colour to the look, even though denim isn’t really classed as a colour, I just think it works so well with outfits like this that are a little bit edgy, it just finishes off the look perfectly and I love that it matches with the blue in the Levi t-shirt! I’m all about those unintentional colour matches.
