Here’s yet another 60’s inspired outfit, are you surprised? Probably not. I’ve really been enjoying channeling the 60’s over the past few months. I really think this is an era that truly captures my personal style as well as my personality and interests. Although I’ve been loving dressing like I’m fresh from the 60’s, I’ve also been finding it really difficult to find clothing shops that sell clothing that’s a little bit different, still on trend and is still fitting within the realms of the 60’s.
I recently discovered a brand called Joanie Clothing and I’ve fallen completely in love. They sell some amazing vintage inspired pieces, slogan tee’s and jumpers, which I’m a huge lover of. I love slogan jumpers as they just add something a little different and ‘quirky’ to an outfit (I had that word but I’m going to use it anyway!) Slogan jumpers and t-shirts are really on trend at the minute and although the majority of them are a little cringey, the phrase ‘maybe baby’ is a phrase that my boyfriend uses every single day when I ask him a stupid question or ask him to do something, as soon as he saw it he said “Did you buy that because of me?” I didn’t, but said yes anyways so that it justified my purchase #Sorrynotsorry.
For so long now, I’ve wanted a jumper from Bella Frued it’s been a good few years of me lusting over them, however, I still cannot justify spending £230+ on a jumper. Although I would wear it 24/7 and love it with all my heart, I just can’t. I think that’s why I love this jumper so much, it reminds me of one of the Bella Frued slogan jumpers. It’s definitely filled the void of owning one. Not sure how long for, however, at least I know I can rely on Joanie to fill this void until I take the plunge to purchase a Bella Frued item for myself.
Lately, I’ve really been into hats. I’ve always loved hats and admired those with the confidence to wear them, The amount of hats I’ve purchased and never actually had the confidence to wear them is insane. With Baker Boy hats I just went for it, I loved how they looked and what they brought to an outfit, so I just went for it and now I feel like they’re apart of my head. I mean, sometimes I still feel slightly paranoid but I just need to learn to get over it. 2017 is going to be the year that I truly get into hats!
