A few months back, I dipped my toes (or face) into a new brand, that brand being the glorified Kat Von D beauty! I made an order from Sephora USA and happily paid the international postage fees in order to have some of her products in my life, however now Kat Von D is available in Debenhams online here in the UK and I quite literally couldn’t be happier! From the second the release was announce I’d already made a wish list on products from her range that I wanted to try!
From my previous haul and first impressions, which you can see here you pretty much get the gist that the products are amazing quality and do everything they ask, however this time I purchased a few items from the range that I’d not yet tried or read very much about! So, here’s what I bought…drum roll please!
LOCK IT FOUNDATION | SHADE – LIGHT 44
The thing about the range only being available online, as the Debenhams store near me does not have a Kat Von D concession, I’m aware that there’s a London store where you can pop in and shop the products like you would with any other brand. However, not being able to swatch things meant that I had to take a giant leap when it came to deciding a foundation shade. I went for Light 44, after scoping through google images at people wearing it and swatches of all the colours, this shade looked like it matched me the best, however I was still seriously sceptical about it!
When it arrived, I was still unsure about the shade – I was pretty much too obsessed with the packaging to care though! After trying the foundation, It’s pretty much the perfect shade for me! I love the coverage and the finish too, however enough about this as I’ve made a first impressions, test and review video on my Youtube channel, which will be out later this week – So watch this space!
TATTOO LINER – TROOPER
I’ve actually tried this eyeliner before, I picked it up from Sephora a good while back however I lost it, not going to lie I did have a little cry about that one. This eyeliner is one of my favourites, no doubts about that! It’s jet black and matte, so you sort of have that Gel liner effect in a liquid liner! The liner nip is so precise and easy to use therefore, if you’re no eyeliner pro you can at least half look like you are when you use this! I’m sort of tempted to try out the brown shade, as I think that would be lovely for more natural eye makeup looks!
EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK – LOLITA II
You’re probably thinking “did you really need another liquid lipstick Abbie?” and the answer is DUH! The everlasting liquid lipsticks have an amazing formula, they’re so creamy and not too drying on the lips despite being a completely matte liquid lipsticks. I have 3 shades including the first Lolita, however I’ve been crushing over Lolita II for SO long! I’ve really been into warm tone neutral pink/browns the past few months and thins fits the bill quite perfectly! The colour is simply beautiful and although I love Lolita, I’ve got to say Lolita II is hands down my favourite at the minute. I’ve been loving paring this with a cool toned taupe eye look and adding this shade for a pop of colour and a bit of warmth to the look!
METAL CRUSH EYESHADOW – RAW POWER
This was actually a gift from my boyfriend, can’t remember why now however I’m not complaining. It was pretty much love at first sight, and I’m talking about the eyeshadow.. not my boyfriend! This colour is absolutely stunning and fits in perfectly as I’m been going super Autumnal with my makeup recently and wearing a lot of purples, reds and oranges on my eyes! This colour is a stunning cranberry red/purple. The formula is SO creamy and the pigmentation is literally out of this world! Not going to lie, I’ve already ordered another one because I NEED them in my life!
BOTTOM SWATCH – METAL CRUSH EYESHADOW | RAW POWER
TOP SWATCH – EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK | LOLITA II
Let me know if there’s any Kat Von D products that you swear by, as I’m so rearing to try more of her products!
See you on Monday!
