If you’re a frequent reader of Blush & Noise, or you keep up to date with me on pretty much any of my social media, then you will probably know that I’m well and truly hooked on NYX! Surprisingly, I don’t usually shop high street/ drug store makeup brands, simply because I like to spend my dolla wisely, rather than risking it with a high street brand purchase, however NYX has well and truly changed my connotations of high street brands and now my NYX collection is getting a little out of hand to say the least!
Over the past few months, every make-up lover has gone a tad wild for liquid lipsticks, myself included! Although I only have the one set of lips, that doesn’t stop me from purchasing practically every shade I’ve heard somewhat good reviews of (yes, I am ashamed of myself..) When I saw these liquid lipsticks at my local NYX counter, I pretty much lost my shit and had to physically restrain myself from buying them all! I thought I’d share the shades that I’ve picked up, show you what they look like on and what I think of them all! I mean, who doesn’t love a good little chat about beauty? Especially when it’s as affordable and as impressive as the NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipsticks!
Push Up’ was the first shade that I picked up, simply because I’d been googling swatches of it and fell head over heels! Even though I have a million lipsticks within this shade range, It’s only right to have it in lipstick form to, am I right ladies? I also picked this shade up for bae (Bitchin’ Blonde) because I just knew that she’d love it and bae’s gotta match okay! (Yes, I do say Bae to be ironic! Yes, I am hilarious..) Anyways, ‘Push Up’ is the perfect everyday colour, when you don’t know what lip shade is going to match your eye makeup, this is what I go for! The formula of all the Lingerie range, is really creamy and despite having a matte finish, the formula isn’t too drying on the lips – Which is perfect if you’re wanting a product to stay put on your lips throughout the day, without feeling uncomfortable!
You’re probably thinking that ‘Push Up’ and ‘Riffle Trim’ are practically the same colour, but oh no, you couldn’t be more wrong! Ruffle Trim is ever so slightly more pink and have a more obvious brown undertone. The lighting in the image doesn’t truly give the liquid lipstick justice! This shade is a happy medium between a pink and a brown shade, I find that my obsession with brown lipsticks has potentially taken over my life, however a shade like this is the perfect everyday shade, it’s another shade that goes with pretty much any eye makeup look, the formula is again really creamy despite it drying to a matte finish!
This shade is simply beautiful! I’ve never really heard anyone rave about this shade, probably because it’s a little bit more pink and bold in comparison to the Lingerie collection. Despite being a nude lipsticks girl at heart, there’s just something about this colour that I’ve really been loving recently! It’s somewhat similar to the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ‘Lolita’ in the sense that it’s situated within the ‘chestnut rose’ colour category! This colour again, matches with pretty much any eye makeup look that I wear on a daily basis, it’s perfect for if you’re going out after work and want to make your makeup look a little different!
