Sometimes it’s just so difficult to put yourself within an optimistic and happy mind frame. There’s simply nothing worse than having a gloomy cloud hanging over your head and absolutely no idea how to get rid of it! Lately, I’ve definitely been stuck in this situation, all I want to do is lay in bed and eat my body weight in popcorn, however that’s just not practical now is it? Shit has to get done, life has to keep on moving, whether I’m happy with it or not!
Over the past few months I’ve been attempting to improve the things that are bringing me down, if you’re sick of something and it’s having such a negative impact on your life and you have the ability to change it, then don’t let the fear of the unknown stop you from potentially making a positive adjustment to your mood and of course, your life! I thought I’d share some positive outcomes of my recent efforts, in the hope that if you’re feeling the same, you may feel motivated to take a step towards improving your mind frame!
1. Blush & Noise Got A Makeover
Probably one of the most obvious changed to my readers! Yep, Blush & Noise has had a makeover! I genuinely couldn’t be more happier with the outcome! I think sometimes blogging can become more of a chore than a hobby, especially with how the ‘blogging game’ has been upped dramatically over the past year or so, a girls gotta keep up with it all! The re-vamp has left me with a clear and inspired mind when it comes to blogging, I’ve been so excited about sharing posts and creating content over the past few weeks and I definitely think the makeover has had a massive part to play within that!
2. I Got A New Job!
There’s nothing more exciting that endeavouring into a new career path! Although I loved my previous job, a change is always good, especially when you’ve been doing the same old thing for the past 2 years! I feel as though a new job is going to do be the world of good and allow me to meet new people and have new challenges and opportunities to delve into! I know so many people who allow their jobs to become a burden to their lives, however a job is a job at the end of the day, if you’re not happy there’s going to be a job out there that you’re perfect for and that you’ll truly enjoy!
3. I’m Making Travel Plans!
I feel like although adult comes with a mountain of responsibilities and of course, bills *sobs*. It also means that the world is at your finger tips, just waiting to be explored! In two weeks time I will be jetting off to Berlin, which is a city I’ve always dreamed of visiting, it’s filled with; Art, Culture and of course… FOOD! I’ve also recently booked to go to Prague, another city I’ve always wanted to visit! Even when life keeps handing you lemons, even though you’ve been working hard enough to just get the god damn lemonade, it’s always good to have things to look forward to, even if you’re just visiting a city that’s a few hours a way from you, a break in a new place can do anyone the world of good!
4. I’m making more of an effort with my friends!
This may seem like something that should be second nature, however when you’re plummeted into the ocean of adult life without any arm bands, sometimes it can be really difficult to find a balance between your working life and your social life. Oner the past year or so, I’ve naturally drifted apart with a number of my close friends, which initially bothered me however I’m discovering that the people who aren’t truly there for me have been filtering themselves out! I’m all about making time for the friends that actually care and have my best interests at heart! There’s nothing better than seeing a friend and not being able to stop talking because you have so much to catch up on!
It really is the little things in life that can have such a positive impact on your happiness and wellbeing!
See you on Monday!
