This month, I’ve been attempting to save my money and turn my nose up when it comes to any type of shopping, apart from food shopping, cause you know this girl has to eat! I have made a few little purchases here and there, however nothing ground breaking, nothing overly exciting, nothing that has truly damage my pocket!

This months favourites have actually been really difficult to decide, I’ve found that when I’m using products that aren’t new, they just don’t stand out when it starts to get to the end of the month and I begin thinking “What have I been loving?” However this month I’ve been shopping my stash and discovering some old favourites and making use out of the products that I already owned!

First up in this months favourites has got to be my Gwen Stefani Urban Decay Palette! When it comes to palettes I definitely flitter between them all quite often, however this month I’ve been getting a lot os use out of this amazing palette. In particular I’ve been using the shades ‘Punk’ and ‘Steady’ which you’re probably thinking that they’re not very Spring appropriate shades, however I’ve been using ‘Punk’ to define my crease and as an alternative for brown eyeshadow and s’Steady’ in the centre of my eyes for a bit of summer, I think that steady being quite an orange toned light brown, it really brings out my blue eyes when I apply it to the centre of my lid, I’ve just been loving the combination of these shadows over the past month AND I recently filmed a little YouTube video using this palette that will be up on my channel very soon!

This is one of my little purchases of the month, however It was an essential purchase as I had ran out of my Benefit Gimme Brow eyebrow gel, however I decided to try something a little different. This is a clear brow gel, so it doesn’t add any colour to your brows, unlike the Benefit one, which I actually much prefer! This brow gel really finishes off my eyebrows the way that I want them to be, it makes them look more natural as it defines the actual hairs rather than just coating over them with more colour. I’ve been using this when I’ve really been going for it with the brows, like really filling them in until I look like a werewolf, and then just sweeping this over the brows when I’m done just softens the brows so amazingly and makes them look super natural, even though I’m in the stages of growing my eyebrows out after a girl at the Benefit Brow Bar completely waxed them off..

Now for some skin care bits, both new and old! I think as the season begin to shift and change, my skin sort of freaks out a little bit and I have to step up in the terms of skin care and make a little bit more effort to ensure that I don’t fall into a downwards spiral of hating my skin, I try to tackle it as soon as possible! This month I’ve been under a lot of stress and just generally feeling a bit low, my blemishes have been overly noticeable and my pores have basically been huge, we keep it real here on Blush & Noise!

First up is the La Roche-Posay Efficlar Duo, not going to lie I’m way behind on the hype of this product, when there’s a massive hype about something I usually try and avoid it until the hype has almost completely died. Which with this product, I haven’t heard much about it over the past year or so and with me feeling a bit low about my blemishes, I thought it was about time that I tried it. Although I’ve only been using it for the past few weeks, I have noticed a difference within my skin, I feel as though my skin tone is a lot more even, I love the feeling of my skin after I’ve applied this product, however I think I’m going to keep with the routine of applying it to see if theres any real drastic changed within my skin over time!

Next up in an old favourite, that I pretty much used to be obsessed with. When I’ve been at uni and hammy makeup on for a while, I’ve been finding that my pores look really big and noticeable and just make my makeup look separated and just really not attractive. So I’ve started using the Porefessional again and I’ve found that I haven’t really been having this issue! I went off primers for a while as I stopped noticing the difference, and thought they where a bit of a faff, however I’m converted again, I’m a believer! They work and my pores don’t look like crater on the moon.. Yay!

Time for my music favourite! This is probably the thing that’s so tough for me to decided on when it comes to my monthly favourites, but as we come into the warmer months what I’m listening to changes quite drastically! This month I’ve been listening to a lot of Mac Demarco! I love Mac Demarco his songs are just so chilled and pretty much exactly what I’m wanting when I’m feeling stressed about my life and the 100 uni deadlines that I have (I have 6 but they might as well give me 100) Mac Demarco is actually playing Glastonbury this year which I’m super excited about! Not going to lie, this years Glastonbury line up is probably one of the worst, but I’m hoping when I go to see Mac Demarco the sun will be shining and everything will be worth it!

Last but certainly not least is this little hidden lipstick gem from Too Faced! I completely forgot that I owned this,it’s the only Too Faced lipstick that I own and I actually really love it! It’s in the shade ‘Sweet Maple’ which is a really beautiful It’s really creamy and moisturising which is exactly the reason why I’ve been loving it so much! I usually opt for a matte lip, however I simply apply this really lightly to the lips, so it’s sort of like a tint, it just really gives that ‘your lips but better’ look, which is perfect for days when I don’t really feel like wearing makeup!

Hope you enjoyed this months favourites! What have you been loving this month?

I love the Clear Brow Gel, it's great, plus it lasts a surprisingly long time. Plus because of the packaging you don't have to look at the yucky brown gloop inside haha :)xxx Claire
