INTERIORS | THE WORK SPACE

As some of you may know, I take a lot of pride in the interiors of my bedroom, that may sound odd, however I think if you surround yourself with things that make you happy and just generally surround yourself with nice things that can emanate a positive attitude!

Although there’s so much that I want to do with my bedroom space, being a student and having a part time job can make it difficult to have the time to, or the funds! So I tend to just progressively collect little trinkets and things to help decorate my room and make me feel at home and chilled out whenever I’m in my space. I think that my work space is one of the most important areas in my room, it’s the area where I do my blog thang (yes I did just say that) and my uni thang (yeah I said it again) But you know, In order to be productive, it’s handy to have a nice environment to be productive in!

My style in interiors is quite odd, I really love minimalistic Scandinavian style however I love adding hints of colour, that is a bit odd and mix matched, but I feel like that truly represents how my brain works! I love art work and photographs of good memories and good people, you know just all that good stuff.

A lot of my furniture in my room is from antique stores, however I sand them down and paint them white as I like the furniture in my bedroom to be bright and uplifting. Not gonna lie, a good percentage of my furniture is from Ikea, but I think adding in the out antique furniture find helps to add a bit of character to the room! However you just can’t go wrong with Ikea if you’re on a budget can you?

I hope you enjoyed this little Sunday interior snippet!

See you on Wednesday!

I love the prints and all the little bits that you've added to make it your own. I would love to have a space like this to work in! For now I'm stuck with working in bed or at the library, but this is definitely a great source of inspiration for me for when I get the space/funds for it.Sophie x | Essential Twenty
