I usually feel like the months just wiz past during the first half of the new year, however I’m so glad that January is over, like could that month BE any longer? 31 days of being poor and wanting to lay in bed all day when you have shit to do! However a new year means new products, and obviously with Christmas just gone, I was treated to lots of new products to try out!

Some of these products you may have seen before in my New In The Beauty Stash post that I did just after christmas, however my favourites gives you guys a chance to find out why I’m loving things and why they’ve made it to my monthly favourites! So, let’s get into it, shall we?

Peony & Blush Suede has to hands down have made it to the very top spot of my favourite scents, it’s the only Jo Malone scent that I’ve tried. However the staff in their Liverpool store are SO helpful, the girl was recommending scents so well and telling me which ones where popular and I can’t even explain how helpful she was! If I could promote her I would! Anyway, onto the actual scent, it’s a very light and fresh scent with a light floral yet musky undertone – You’re proabably thinking I’ve just described every possible scent, but it’s floral, however it’s not fruity at all, it just a really soft scent, not in the sense that it doesn’t really have a scent, but in the sense that it’s almost like a musk were its not like WOAH I’M SMELLING ALL THE FLOWERS, it’s just soft and a really lovely feminine scent. My explanation really does it no justice, sorry Jo Malone..

This eyeliner is an old favourite, I’m not entirely sure that this has been in a previous monthly favourites or not, but true love never dies is the saying I believe. I’ve had affairs with other eyeliners, however when In doubt this is the eyeliner that I reach for, I feel as though this is the one eyeliner that I can ensure that will look half decent and I won’t end up looking like a panda at the end of it! It’s your classic felt tip type eyeliner, however you shake it and it pushes the product to the nib if that makes sense? I think with a lot of felt tip eyeliners, the product just slowly dries up and there’s nothing you can do to get it out, but with this one you shake it and it’s like it’s brand new! Honestly this eyeliner is excellent value for money and you need to get on this bandwagon before I buy them all so you can’t

Next up is a little gift that I got off a friend for my Birthday! I had never even heard of this MAC lipstick or heard anyone talk about it, and she was like it’s amazing, and it really really is! It’s my go to lipstick when I can’t really be bothered wearing lipstick, but I know I need a little something! It”s really creamy and soft, however it’s a really nice pinky neutral – As you may know, I am not a fan of pink lipsticks at all and Erin (www.bitchinblonde.com) knows this! it’s like a creamy version of Mac’s Mehr, which is pretty much my all time favourite lipstick! So to have a more hydrating version is a God sent! Friendship goals are real though!

You’re going to be seeing a lot of the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow products in an up and coming post so keep an eye out! I’ve really been trying to search for the best eyebrow product, and I’ve realised that I’m a women who requires a number of affairs with different eyebrow products, I just can’t make my mind up on them at all! A beautician recently pretty much waxed off my thick and well shaped eyebrows when I went for a little clear up on my brows, like I have never been more distraught, so eyebrow powder has been a must everyday! I’ve been loving this eyebrow powder duo as you can use the lighter shade at the front and fill them in darker towards the tail! I simply set it with a powder and they pretty much stay all day! I find that they powders are really smooth and silky and glides onto the eyebrows amazingly! I’ve been using the Zoeva 322 brow line brush and it’s the perfect combo, for now anyways!

So as you may know, I’ve been trying to be more experimental with my makeup and branch out into some different colours and shades! These two I’ve been loving ‘Bitten’ by MakeUp Geek is such a beautiful creamy burgundy rust shade that I’ve been using in my crease when using purples to really vamp the look up and create a more dramatic look! I’ve then been dabbing a bit of ‘Star Violet’ by MAC onto the centre of my eyelid for a bit more drama and to brighten up the look – as I find when using purples, it’s not hard to make yourself look like you’ve got a black eye! I absolutely adore these shades, I’ve been slowly trying to build up the shades in my Z palette and these two are hands down my favourites!

If you read my 2016 Blogging goals, you will know that I really wanted to get better at photography and have a wider understanding of how to benefit my blog photos! I bought this book after hearing quite positive things about it within the Blogging and Youtube community! So I thought I would pick it up! I really like how It gives you a lot of creative and handy tips for general photography and how to use lighting and lenses and colour contrast to your best creative ability! It’s a great book for a bit on inspiration when I’m feeling uninspired! In the Summer when I’m visiting different cities and exploring I really want to photograph it and make it interesting! So this book is definitely going to help me with that!

You’ve all seen this product in my New To The Makeup Stash post, and a lot of people commented saying that they’d wanted to try it! Like guys, this is amazing! It’s beautiful! It’s such a beautiful silky contour, it’s not orange its not chalky, its absolutely divine. It brings warmth to your face, which is such a requirement when you’re pale like me! It just really makes me feel finished in the sense of makeup! I simply contour my cheek bones and blend it out so it looks natural, then I add a lit sweep of the highlighter onto the high points of my face! I just feel like this duo makes my skin appear so healthy and natural, in the sense that it doesn’t look like i’m wearing loads of highlighter bronzer, it really beautiful enhances the appearance of your skin and I just cannot get enough of this little beauty!

I really love defining my eyes, even on minimal makeup days, I’ve been wearing this eyeliner kohl pretty much overtime I’ve been wearing makeup! Occasionally I will use it as a eyeliner on the lid and smudge it out so you get that super quick and easy smokey eye look. However I mostly add a bit underneath my eye, not in the waterline, but just below it and then I smudge it out! I find that this just makes the colour of my eye ‘pop’ that little bit more and it’s such an easy step but it’s s effective! I love how creamy the eyeliner is, its so easy to blend, however when it’s set, it’s set for good and you could pretty much cry your eyes out and this eyeliner would not budge! It’s a really creamy and beautiful brown, so it’s not too harsh on the eyes, it’s a really good alternative if you’re like me and you’re a lover of black winged eyeliner!

My fashion favourite this month is this little gem of a bag that I got in the Whistles sale! It’s an ombre crock style chain clutch and it’s beautiful! This bag is the perfect size for a night out! You can fit your phone, purse, lipstick, ID, and even an umbrella! It’s so perfect and I love the silver chain as I wear a lot of silver jewellery so it just matches with so much of my evening accessories! This bag was originally over £80, however I got it for just over £40, which is an amazing bargain! I feel like this is going to be a bag that I’m going to have for years to come until it’s falling apart by the seams because I’ve used it so much!

So, that concludes my January favourites! Just a little note to my readers that my Tuesday posting days from next week and onwards is going to be on a Thursday from now on! So my posting days will be Thursday and Sunday – just as my uni hours have changed!

I will see you on Sunday!

Such a lovely roundup. I think I'll purchase that photography book! I've been a bit uninspired lately when it comes to photos, and it's one of the areas in which I really want to improve. I'll have to give it a read! Also, putting that brow powder on my list as well. I completely trust ABH for all things brow related. hellozauni.com
