ON THE 12TH DAYS OF BLOGMAS, BLUSH & NOISE GAVE TO ME, THE PERFECT LAST MINUTE GIFT..
Can you believe that this is the final post in this years 12 Days of Blogmas! I thought I would do a little post for those last minute shoppers, I know so many people who are still whizzing around attempting to grab the perfect present for a loved one. This year I’ve been absolutely loving Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and I’ve slowly been building up my collection over this year. This Christmas, Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and make-up have been on the top of my Christmas list, the quality of the products are guaranteed to always be amazing, the packaging is just so luxurious and special, I couldn’t name one make-up lover who wouldn’t be over the moon to see something from Charlotte Tilbury under their Christmas tree!
There’s two different Charlotte Tilbury lipstick collections – The Matte Revolution lipstick collection and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection. The Matte Revolution lipsticks are obviously matte lipsticks and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection are satin/glossy lipsticks. I own lipsticks from both, however I personally prefer the look of Matte lipsticks, but this obviously depends on your own personal likes and dislikes, as well as the preference of the person you’re buying for – Or you know, this could be a little something for yourself.
The Matte Revolution Lipsticks come in 10 different shades, from both subtle to bold shades. One of the subtle shades that I own is ‘bond girl’ which is one of my all time favourite neutral lipsticks. It’s sort of similar to the ‘Kylie Jenner’ lip that everyone was obsessing over early in the year, however it’s more of a mauve pink with a slight brown undertone, so it’s super wearable for those who aren’t willing to dare the full brown lipstick trend, which seems to be edging it’s way back from the 90’s. The boldest lipstick I own from this particular collection is ‘Glastonberry’ which was a lipstick that I got for Christmas last year, after there was a massive hype about it with the release of this collection. ‘Glastonberry’ is a gorgeous burgundy/dark purple – This colour I genuinely find difficult to describe as I think it looks different on everyone, however it still remains beautiful! Although matte lipsticks have a reputation for being really clergy and drying to the lips, I find these lipstick to be quite velvety and creamy – Which is always a bonus as you wouldn’t be paranoid that your lips are going to dry out if you where planning on wearing the lipsticks for a long period of time!
I very recently purchased ‘Stoned Rose’ from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G collection, as working so much this time of year definitely means you can treat yo’ self to some Charlotte Tilbury – Am I right Retail and Restaurant lades? I wanted to try a lipstick from the other collection just to try it out, I naturally went for ‘Stoned Rose’ one because I love The Stoned Roses and two because it’s quite a warm pinkish brown shade, which caught my interest. I surprisingly love the formula of this lipstick, even though I’m not really a fan of glossy lipsticks. I pair this lipstick with Mac’s Sublime Culture lipliner and it’s such a beautiful combination to just thrown on during the day, and you’ve not really got much to worry about as the lipliner keeps it all intact. Similar to the Matte Revolution lipsticks, this collection also comes in 10 shades, raging from bold to neutral. I’m really desperate to try ‘Night Crimson’ from this collection as I think it’s such an amazing evening lipstick when you’re wanting to channel those gothic vibes – It’s added to my Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks.
