There’s still time to get together your christmas day outfit! You can’t go wrong with an A-line tartan skirt during the festive period can you? I’ve decided to put together a super easy, yet festive outfit to give you some last minute inspiration on what you can wear whilst you’re wining and dining with your loved ones.

My go to style when I’m not too sure what to wear is the 60’s trend. Being as petite as I am, I find the mini A-line skirts to really elongate my legs and make me not look like a child. The Topshop Petite section is usually my go-to place when I need an outfit ASAP and I need it to fit me the way I want it to! With Topshop Petite, they do a size 4 in everything, so I don’t have the hassle of having to get everything altered, especially when I haven’t got time to do so! The tartan skirt is from Topshop, it’s super highwaated which I love, as you could dress it up further with a nice blouse or even goth it up with a mesh top and a bralette underneath if you wanted to wear it for a party or a night out!

Pairing a mini skirt with a high necked top, can guarantee almost any look to have that 60’s flair with almost no effort at all. These high necked ribbed top is from Asos, they sell it in white and a tobacco colour, which I obviously own both, I don’t mess around when it comes to high necked tops. I have so many of them and I wear them so often during the Autumn and Winter seasons.  My only issue  with  high necked  tops and blouses is that I think they can occasionally be rather unflattering on the bust, however I think when the top is paired with a waist  synching high wasted skirt,  feeling frumpy can be easily avoided!  So you can still achieve the 60’s trend without feeling like you’ve eaten all the pies..

My shoes are from ZARA, however so many stores have begun to stock shoes in this style , especially ASOS and Topshop! So if they’re out of stock anywhere, there’s no doubt find something similar in a snap, especially if you’re in a rush to find your Christmas outfit! I love that these shoes provide some height without being ridiculous and uncomfortable to walk in , they have a wide block heel, so the shoes still keep in with the 60’s theme. I love the lace up design also, I think it’s so different however it’s quite cute and girly at the same time. These are the perfect shoes for someone who isn’t a fan of heels , like myself, however being petite means that I do try and make more of an effort when it comes to my footwear. I’e worn these shoes a few times now, and they’ve not yet caused me any pain, which is always a bonus for us petite girls when we want to look a bit taller!

I hope you got some outfit inspiration from this post – I would just like to apologise for the quality of the photo’s – I hate it when people apologies for things because I just think don’t post it then, however I’m determined to stick to doing all my 12 days of Blogmas posts on time, working in a restaurant at this time of year results in me not having much time to put post together as christmas draws closer, but I can promise come after Christmas my posts are going to be top standard!

See you on Wednesday for the final 12 days of blogmas post – Eeek!
