You never really get the full advantage out of make-up without good quality tools to apply them with. I have put together some of my favourite make-up brushes that don’t break the bank, and that are also long lasting.

1. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

I’ve had this brush for about 2-3 years now and it’s still in pristine condition. This is one of my favourite brushes to use when I want to apply foundation quickly, but I still want good flawless results. These brushes are really good quality and are really affordable. I’ve also previously used this brush for under eye powder as it’s quite dense and small so it distributes powder evenly underneath the eye. All in all, this brush is an essential to anyones make-up kit, whether you’re just starting to get into make-up or whether you’re a make-up professional.

2. Zoeva 106 Powder Brush

I genuinely cannot speak higher of Zoeva’s brush collection. The brushes are so soft and high quality. This particular brush is apart of their vegan range, this whole range is so soft and the synthetic hairs wash really well and don’t seem to lose their softness. I use this brush for translucent powder, both lose powder and compact. As the brush is quite large it disburses the product really lightly and weightlessly. The Zoeva make-up brushes are more high end, however still really affordable. Especially considering how long lasting and high quality the brushes are.

3.  Resl Techniques Blush Brush

This brush is arguably my favourite brush out of the real techniques collection (however I’ve not yet tried the Bold Metals collection, so don’t quote me on this..) This brush is really similar to the Zoeva powder brushes, as it has that really feathery soft texture. Due to this brush be tapered at the end, it makes blush application really precise, however the fact that it’s feathery makes the product not apply to your face all at once, resulting in lightly blushed and flushed cheeks, who’s complaining?

4. Sephora Pro Contour Brush – Small Contour 74

I bought this brush back in New York, along side some other Sephora brushes that weren’t apart of their ‘PRO’ collection. This brush has remained it’s original shape and texture so much better than any of my other Sephora brushes. I’ve found that the cheaper Sephora brushes that I purchased went really rough and almost hay like after washing them a few times.  This brush wasn’t cheap, however I can’t complain with the overall quality and performance of it. The brush is rounded towards the top rather than tapered, this makes bronzer appear really well blended in the first brush of the product onto your face. This brush almost softens bronzer and makes it look more natural and blended. It basically gives you perfectly contoured cheek bones in less the time.
