1) Benefit Porefessional
I used this after moisturising, just to reduced the visible pores around my noes. As well as using the excess on areas where my make-up usually fades, like my forehead and chin
2) Nars Sheer Glow Matte
Slowly becoming one of my favourite foundations. Nars Sheer Glow is perfect for every day as it has a light, yet build-able coverage without appearing to cakey. However I find that this foundations clings to the dry parts of my skin, however moisturising solves this problem. Simple as.
3) MAC Pro Longwear concealer
I’m completely in love with this concealer. I’ve been using this just to cover blemishes and having no foundation days as the staying power and coverage of this concealer is phenomenal. Today I used it just to cover up the darkness under my eyes to make me look more awake.
4) Soap and Glory Kick Ass Translucent Powder
I use a tiny amount of the Kick Ass translucent powder just to set my concealer and any foundation that’s in the more oily areas of my face. I just take a small powder brush and dab it onto the desired areas, dabbing the brush instead of sweeping it just helps the powder set the concealer a lot better.
5) Nars Bronzing Powder / Laguna
Conturing is vital, considering my chubby cheeks mask my cheek bones. I use a tad of Laguna to add a bit of warmth to my face as well as creating the illusion of cheekbones, which i unfortunately lack. I was reluctant to try this powder as I was sceptical that it was going to appear orange on my insanely pale skin, but it actually works really well when blended in nicely
6) Bourjois Creme Blush / Rose Tender 03
I really love this creme blush as it just adds a lovely dewy finish to the cheeks which makes you look naturally flushed and fresh faced which is perfect for spring. I just dab a pinch of this onto the apples of my cheek and blend it along the cheek bone with a stippling blush, to get a really natural flushed finish.
7) Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner
There’s not much I can say about this eyeliner other than it’s absolutely amazing and I’d recommended it to anyone who likes precise cat flicks. I start off by drawing a line of where I want the flick to be with my eyes open and then join it along and make the line thicker depending on how I want it to look.
8) HD Brows Eye Palette / Foxy
This is the perfect range of colours for eyebrows, especially if you dye your hair different colours quite frequently. I use the 3rd colours on the palette to fill in my eyebrows. I use a small angled brush and use light strokes and feather the powder into my eyebrows and then brush them with a brow comb to disperse the product evenly, so they look more natural and less harsh compared to my hair colour.
9) Eyeko ‘Eye Do’ Mascara
After curling my eyelashes I apply a generous coat of this mascara to my top and bottom lashes. i try to concentrate on my outer eyelashes as it really helps to accentuate the cat eye. This mascara is amazing at lengthening the eyelashes, this mascara never gets clumpy and is by far my favourite mascara.
10) MAC Pearl Matte Facepowder / Pink Buttercream
This is the cutest make-up product that I own and I hate using it because I never want it to fade. I use this as a pink toned highlighter. I simply apply it on the high points of my face e.g.: Hight of my cheekbones, brow bone and nose. The matte finish works beautifully against the cream blush so there isn’t too much shine happening in the one area. This product was apart of Baking Beauties limited addition collection which I managed to find in an outlet store just outside New York when I visited. So if you can get your hands on this little beauty I’d definitely recommended it
11) MAC Amplified Lipstick / Craving
My favourite lipstick at the moment. This is literally perfect for everyday. I’m a lover of a bold lip colour, however I feel as though I need to reach for something a bit less bold coming into the warmer months (not that it will be that much warmer in England). This lipstick is the perfect combination of pink and purple, the perfect mix of both girly and grunge. I’ve never tried one of the MAC amplified finishes, simply because I always preferred the matte finishes, but the amplified finishes are so nourishing and the colour pay off is just incredible.
I hope you enjoyed this little (big) blog post about my rambling on about what I’ve slapped on my face this morning. I’m going to try my best to Blog a lot more than I do. This would be my second blog post in a row which is pretty good for me. I’m not sure whether I want to make ‘Today’s face’ a weekly thing or just do it whenever I change up my routine.
Have a lovely weekend
