LASHES LIFTED TO THE HEAVENS | MY FIRST LVL LASH EXPERIENCE

When it comes to my beauty routine, my eyes always take centre stage, If my eyes look awake I insantly feel better about myself and more 'fenime' if you will. However sometimes the whole routine of curling my eyelashes and layering up the mascara and be a tedious task, especialy when it ocmes to getting dressed for work each morning.

LVL Lashes have been taking the beauty world by storm over the past year or two, it seems people our opting for 'no makeup-makeup' more than ever. The less products used = more time for eating breakfast, right?

I recently took a trip to one of Liverpool's most prestiious beauty salon, Urban Calm. If you're from Liverpool and haven't heard of Urban Calm, then you're about to have your mind blown by the amount of beauty treatments on offer. I was invited to their Metquater Spa to recieve an LVL Lash Treatment. I've never has any beauty treatments preformed on my eyelashes before, however, I'd heard so many amazing things about LVL lashes and Urban Calm that I couldn't help but wonder what the fuss was all about.

THE TREATMENT

The lash lift treatment lasted for around 30 minutes, I personally thought it would be a long process and be somewhat painful. However, I was completely wrong. The entire prosess was actually really theraputic. The beauty technitains were so friendly and chatty, which made the whole experience more enjoyable.

The prosess of the lash lift is fiddly, however, from what I graspted it's pretty straight forward. The lashes are filipped upward onto a pad and then coated with various solutions in order to perm the eyelashes, resulting in them looking curly and long, as well as making the eyes appear bigger and more open.

The treatment was practically painless, the only time I felt any discomfort was when the pads where being removed from the eyelashes after the treatment, other than that, I could have fallen asleep whilst I lay there.

LVL AFTERCARE

The aftercare is completely straightforward. For the first 24 hours, you're unable to get your eyelashes wet, therefore I'd recommend a make-up free/ cry free day if you can! Avoid using mascara for the first 24 hours also, as obviously you won't be able to remove it. However, in all honest for the first couple of week, I really didn't feel the need to wear mascara as my eyelashes looked incredible without anything on them.

Each evening before going to bed, I would brush my eyelashes upwards, just to ensure each eyelash was curled and separated. This isn't something you have to do, however I do think my eyelashes have stayed curly for longer because of this.

THE LASH LIFT 6 WEEKS ON

Still to this day, my eyelashes are sill looking long and curled, although I'm used to them now and don't seem to notice them as much, the compliments still pour in thick and fast. I still haven't felt the need to curl my eyelashes or overdo it with the mascara - which saves me a large amount of time in the mornings.

In the next few weeks I will 100% be booking another LVL lash treatment. Considering the treatment costs £35, is completely painless and last for over 6 weeks. It's well worth it. I no longer feel the need to wear eyeliner or layers and layers of mascara and even without makeup I still feel so confident and feminine. Thank you so much to Urban Calm for giving me my dream lashes!
