TRYING TO BE COOL

Over the past few months I've really been attempting to nail my casual style. If you're a frequent reader, you may know that I've never really been into trainers that much however I've been attempting to incorporate them into my wardrobe, I can now proudly say that trainers are my new thing - Not only are my feet actually comfortable but I sort of feel kinda cool. You know, like those girls who are super effortlessly cool (something that I'm certainly not!)

Here's a casual outfit to start off the week, a week which consists of working, starting my final year at uni (eek) and attempting to keep it cool in terms of my stress levels - Back to reality, summer is over and it's time to kick myself into gear and nailing the cool casual everyday style, is clearly a requirement when it comes to having a stress free chilled out life, or at least that's what I'm hoping it will kid people into thinking.

TOP : ASOS, HALTER BRALETTE : FREE PEOPLE, CHOKER : ASOS, JEANS : MONKI, BAG : FJALLRAVEN KANKEN, SHOES : ADIDAS

I feel as though I spend far too much time worrying about what I'm wearing and what others are thinking about what I'm wearing. Even when I've made a massive effort, I feel paranoid that people are thinking that I'm trying too hard. Yep, I'm that kind of person, worried when I'm dressed down and worried when I'm dressed to the nines - It's a stressful ordeal. However I can feel this slowly fluttering away, I'm starting to feel less paranoid, because nine time out of ten nobody probably cares about what I'm wearing! What matters at the end of the day is that I'm comfortable in what I'm wearing and it expresses who I am and the 'vibe' that I'm going for... God, this is getting deep isn't it?

These jeans from Monki are my new favourite jeans, yep they're not flattering what-so-ever. I basically look like a awkward teenage boy in the 90's when I'm wearing them, however I think that's all part of their charm! I love how they're super high waisted and do flatter the waist area, however other than that, they're baggy and pretty much the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn!
